To say that we are elated would simply not be doing this feeling justice – as The General quipped “It’s like we’re living in a luxury resort now!”
Everyone (First World speaking) should experience this just to realize what brats we really are.
I am surprised how the feeling is lingering too.
I’m now in the habit of emptying excess water into plants, only using a bit of water for tooth brushing and really chocking the dishwasher to capacity.
(The dishwasher!! This time last week that was unimaginable!)
Dresden Cat had curiously been checking the status of the bathtubs each day, carefully circling the ledges just to be sure there was still water there and wondering,
I am sure, what the HELL was going on … I ended up closing all the bathroom doors in the end, concerned that he would fall in.
We haven’t had the plumbers’ bill yet so my giddiness may soon be replaced by other feelings but for the moment the driveway holes are all filled in and it’s as though nothing ever
happened.
Anyway, I’ll stop now – but as a final bit of inspiration check this out.
Bravo!!! You have tolerated and survived the horrrrilbe ( yeah I realize I have added a few rr’s) the angst and apathy of city hall and their responsibilities of the ebb and flow of H20.
Mrs. Loudshoes
Yay! Finally! It’s only when you are deprived of something that you really appreciate it. (I, for one, was out of coffee this morning. For Tim Horton’s, I am truly thankful.) Good to hear that you have joined the First World, once again.
